Beginning in 2007, TCVB has been helping to arrange school visits in Tokyo
for all ages, from elementary school to high school.

What TCVB Offers

  • Finding a host school
  • Arranging the schedule for the day of the visit
  • Assistance on the day of the visit
    (TCVB staff on site, arranging volunteer interpreters, etc.)

We don't charge for the arrangement, but if some incidental expenses are incurred (e.g. lunch at the school), the school will be asked to cover the expenses.

To inquire, please fill out this "Application Form(EXCEL:30KB)"in English or Japanese, and submit it to us approximately three months prior to your school trip to Tokyo. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

  • We do not arrange visits to schools for private individuals.
  • We only arrange school visits.

Assistance by TCVB and the Flow of Proceedings

Flow of Proceedings

  1. 3 months prior to visit
    • Contact TCVB (schooltrip@tcvb.or.jp) and submit the application form to request arrangements for the school visit.
    • TCVB finds a host school to match your requests regarding location, exchange program content, etc.
  2. Host school chosen
    • TCVB arranges the schedule on the visiting day (determining classes and club activities available for participation, performances by students from both schools, souvenirs, etc.)
    • If necessary, TCVB arranges for volunteer interpreters on the visiting day
  3. Day of the visit
    • TCVB personnel are on hand to provide assistance
  4. After visiting
    • The students and teachers fill out the questionnaire so that TCVB can improve the support.
